Who we are
The data controller is Tao Technologies Ltd (company number 03505697, registered office Building 18, Gateway 1000, Whittle Way, Arlington Business Park, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 2FP), which runs Board Games Sorted.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up. beehiiv stores it for us and we use it to send the weekly email. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Forms: what you send us when you submit a campaign, claim or correct a listing, or contact us. We use it to reply and to update the site.
- Visits: we don't run any analytics or advertising trackers on our own pages. If we add visitor counts later, they'll be cookie-free and we'll say so here.
What we publish about venues and groups
Our where-to-play pages list business and group details only: names, public venue addresses, meeting times, costs and links to their own pages. We do not publish the names, photos or contact details of individual organisers or members, and we do not list private homes.
Our legal basis
Consent for the newsletter; legitimate interests for replying to messages and keeping listings accurate. Under United Kingdom (UK) data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site, newsletter and forms on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and forwards emails sent to [email protected].
- beehiiv runs the newsletter. The signup form on our pages is loaded from beehiiv, so your browser connects to beehiiv when you view it. That form runs beehiiv's own scripts, including analytics and anti-spam checks, under beehiiv's policy rather than ours. When you sign up, beehiiv stores your email address and sends each issue for us. See beehiiv's privacy policy.
Our other forms are not switched on yet; we will name the providers that run them here before they start collecting anything.
